Tub, Walk-In Shower and a Green Vanity

Bathroom with a tub, a separate glass shower and a wood-look plank floor

The space

A long, narrow bathroom that had a tub at one end and wasted space at the other. The owners wanted to keep a tub for the kids and add a real shower.

The decision

Tub stays where the plumbing is; the shower goes at the far end behind a single glass panel, with the ceiling rain head so no valve wall is needed. Wood-look plank runs the length of the room to make it feel longer, not narrower.

The detail

The niche is edged in black metal trim rather than mitred tile — a deliberate match to the black fixtures, and a cleaner line on a textured stone-look tile that would not mitre well.
