Tile Installation & Bathroom Remodeling in Central New Jersey

Waterproofing first. Everything beautiful goes on top of that. Showers, floors and backsplashes built by one installer, not a rotating crew.

02 — Before / after

Drag the line

Same room, same doorway. What was there, and what is there now. Every project page has one where I have the photos.

04 — What you don't see

The part that decides whether it leaks

Nobody photographs the membrane. I do, on every job, and I send the photos to you before the tile goes on. Here is what the pretty pictures are sitting on top of.

Marble-look floor tile being set with levelling clips, the layout centred on the room

Layout before the first cut

Every floor is dry-laid first. Full tiles where your eye lands, cuts where they hide. No slivers against the tub.

Shower walls and curb coated in red liquid waterproofing membrane before any tile

Substrate and waterproofing

Cement board, sealed seams, a continuous waterproof layer over all of it. Then tile. Never the other way round.

Subway tile going up with a levelling clip on every course

Set straight, then left alone

Levelling clips on every course, grout only after the mortar has cured, silicone in every change of plane. Trim and glass are the last things to touch the wall.

How a project runs, step by step

05 — How it runs

One person, four steps

  1. 01

    Visit

I come out, look at the space, measure, and tell you what I see — including what is behind the tile if I can tell.

  2. 02

    Scope & quote

A written scope with line items and a fixed price. You know what you are paying for, and what you are not.

  3. 03

    Build

Demo, substrate, waterproofing, tile, grout. I photograph the parts you will never see again and send them to you.

  4. 04

    Walk-through

We go over it together. I leave you the leftover tile, the grout colour, and my number.

Middlesex County and the north end of Monmouth. If you are a little further out, ask — the answer is usually yes for a bathroom and sometimes no for a backsplash.

Every job goes on Instagram as it happens, and on Facebook. Reviews are collected on Google rather than pasted here.
