Red Walls to Marble: A Full Hall Bath
The space
A small hall bath with red walls, a painted border and a tub that had not been used as a tub in years.
The decision
Take the tub out and build a walk-in shower in its footprint. Run the same marble-look porcelain up the walls and across the floor so a small room has as few visual breaks as possible. A sliding door instead of a swing, because the vanity is right there.
The detail
The niche sits centred on the shower wall and its shelf is a single piece of the wall tile, so the veining runs into the opening instead of stopping at it.
