The space
A large room with good light and a bad plan: a platform tub under the window and a shower the size of a phone box.
The decision
A freestanding tub where the platform was, so the window light lands on it, and a bigger shower with a single glass panel rather than a door. The marble-look floor runs under everything, including the shower, so the room reads as one.
The detail
The transition from marble-look floor to pebble shower floor is a single mitred edge on the curb — no metal strip, no lip to catch a toe.
