The space

A small bath the owners wanted to feel designed without spending on fixtures they would not use.

The decision

Spend the pattern budget on one wall and keep the rest quiet. The plank tile wraps the other three walls and the floor in one material; the feature wall is centred on the mirror.

The detail

The pattern repeats on an eight-tile module. The wall is laid out so a full module is centred behind the mirror and the pattern meets the plank wall on a whole tile at both corners — no half-pattern at the edge.
