Primary Bath with a Wood-Look Wall and a Freestanding Tub

The space

A large primary bath with a builder-grade layout: a jetted tub nobody used in one corner, a small shower in the other, and beige tile everywhere. The owners wanted one material to carry the whole room.

The decision

Vertical wood-look porcelain on every wall — the same plank in the shower, behind the tub and behind the vanity — so the room reads as a single surface. The floor went dark and matte to anchor it. The shower is curbed with a pebble floor so the slope works without a visible pan.

The detail

The niche. Two shelves cut into the plank wall, backed with the same pebble as the shower floor, so the one accent in the room is the floor turned up on its side.
